What you need: 1. Microwave oven 2. GLAD Steam Lock bags – single serving (small) 3. GLAD Heavy-weight Foil 4. Serviette and eating gear packed in a GLAD Zipper Sandwich Bag 5. Fresh Fruit of choice 6. Small Lunch box cooler bag 7. Airtight Glass or Plastic bottle with a GLAD Straw Main Meal:
Steamed Salmon and Vegetables (GLAD Steam Lock Bags) 1 x 100g salmon steak Marinade: 15 ml olive oil 1 spring onion, chopped 15 ml fresh dill, finely chopped 15 ml fresh flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped 7 ml white wine vinegar Zest and juice of ½ lime Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste Julienne vegetables: 1 x carrot, peeled and cut julienne ½ red pepper, seeded and cut julienne ½ green pepper, seeded and cut julienne ¼ red onion, thinly sliced 2 baby marrows, cut julienne 1. Mix all the ingredients for the marinade together in a large GLAD freezer bag. Add the fish, close and toss lightly to cover. Refrigerate for at least 45 minutes. Remove fish from marinade and place with the julienne vegetables into a GLAD Steam Lock Bag. 2. Place bag into microwave and cook in microwave on HIGH for 1 – 1minute and 40 seconds or until fish is cooked. Allow food to rest for 1 minute in bag before removing. 3. Season to taste. Serve immediately. Serves 1. Variation: 1. Replace the vegetables with a fresh garden salad, stored in a Glad Multi-fresh bag. Dessert:
Honey Grilled Nectarines with yoghurt 1 nectarine, cut in halve and pips removed 30 ml honey or brown sugar To serve: Greek yoghurt 1. Place the nectarine halves on a square of GLAD Heavy-weight Foil in a baking tray. Drizzle the honey over and grill under a preheated oven grill until nectarines are golden in colour. 2. Remove from oven and allow fruit to cool completely. Fold the foil to enclose the fruit. Serve with a dollop of Greek yoghurt. Serves 1. Drink: Pack a freshly squeezed orange juice or other fruit juice of choice. Pack in an airtight and leak free plastic bottle or glass bottle if preferred. For extra caution, place in a GLAD® Zipper bag to prevent any unwanted leaks. Cutlery, serviettes or wet wipes: Pack cutlery and serviettes in GLAD® Zipper Sandwich Bags. A single wet wipe packed in a GLAD Zipper Sandwich Bag is always handy for sticky or greasy fingers.
