Quick & easy breakfast for the Family
What you need: 1. Large saucepan with boiling water. 2. Large GLAD Zipper Freezer Bags 3. GLAD Pan Fit paper Main Meal:
Easy Family Omelette: 6 eggs, beaten 60 ml grated cheddar cheese 3 rashers rindless streaky bacon, cooked and cut into bite-size pieces 2 spring onions, chopped 3 small brown mushroom, sliced 5 medium Rosa tomatoes, chopped Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
To serve: Extra grated cheddar cheese 1. Place all the ingredients together into a large GLAD Zipper Freezer Bag. Carefully press out the excess air from the bag and allow the mixture to spread evenly inside. Seal and carefully place the bag flat into a large heavy-based saucepan with boiling water. Allow to boil for 2 – 3 minutes or until the egg is set. 2. Cut the zipper side of the bag off and carefully slide the omelette into a serving plate. Divide into squares or tri-angles, sprinkle the extra cheese over and serve immediately with wholewheat seed loaf. Makes 1 omelette. Drinks: Serve freshly squeezed orange juice and fresh fruit with the breakfast for a healthy and balanced breakfast.
Tips: 1. Freeze the exact amount of sliced bread for your family in GLAD Zipper Freezer bags. Defrost in the microwave for a few seconds. 2. If there is no time for an omelette, simply place breakfast cereal of choice and sweetener together into a GLAD Zipper sandwich bag and the milk into a separate small GLAD Zipper sandwich bag. Pack into a lunch box with fresh fruit sealed in a GLAD multi-fresh bag for later. 3. When you pack a boiled egg for breakfast, place the egg into a separate GLAD Zipper bag to prevent unwanted odours in the lunchbox.
