Steamed Salmon and Vegetables (GLAD Steam Lock Bags)



1 x 100g salmon steak Marinade:

  • 15 ml olive oil 1 spring onion, chopped
  • 15 ml fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 15 ml fresh flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
  • 7 ml white wine vinegar Zest and juice of ½ lime Salt
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Julienne vegetables:
1 x carrot, peeled and cut
julienne ½ red pepper, seeded and cut
julienne ½ green pepper, seeded and cut
julienne ¼ red onion, thinly sliced
2 baby marrows, cut


1. Mix all the ingredients for the marinade together in a large GLAD freezer bag. Add the fish, close and toss lightly to cover. Refrigerate for at least 45 minutes. Remove fish from marinade and place with the julienne vegetables into a GLAD Steam Lock Bag.

2. Place bag into microwave and cook in microwave on HIGH for 1 – 1minute and 40 seconds or until fish is cooked. Allow food to rest for 1 minute in bag before removing.

3. Season to taste. Serve immediately.

Serves 1.

Variation: 1. Replace the vegetables with a fresh garden salad, stored in a Glad Multi-fresh bag.
